Attention, Navy! Rihanna is getting her own movie. Filmmaker Peter Berg (who directed RiRi in 2012's Battleship) plans to make a "theatrical feature documentary" about the singer, inspired by D.A. Pennebaker's iconic 1967 Bob Dylan film Don't Look Back.
According to Deadline, the movie will be an "unfiltered look into Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon," while Berg added that it will be "much more a character study than a music film."
There's no word yet on production or release dates, but fingers crossed for a deep investigation into the making of #R8. Fingers crossed for #R8 in general.
