Manchester United have hijacked Chelsea’s deal to sign Juan Cuadrado after lodging a £21.6million offer for the Fiorentina star.
Chelsea have been in talks for the last week to sign Cuadrado, while reports yesterday said personal terms had been agreed ahead of the switch.
But claims in Italy say United have joined the race and have lodged a £21.6million bid.
The offer has not been accepted or rejected to date, but is short of his £26.8million release clause.
Chelsea are desperate to land Cuadrado, with Andre Schurrle looking certain to leave, but United are favourites with Adnan Januzaj being talked up as going the other way on-loan.
